As a former patient of Headley Court, I am speechless at the local uproar over this simple decision.
Well done on the campaign - Arrsers rule

These Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen fight for those who are unable to fight for themselves. Now that they can no longer fight for themslves it is up to us as a greatfull nation to support them.
NIMBY's, may you never need somebody to fight your corner for some reason because an increasingly aware nation will turn their backs on you for your selfishness. How you can look yourself in the eye each day amazes me!!!

Brian you lack even the courage of your convictions and one day, when you are older you will realise you are a little, little man.

There can only be one outcome on this, having been on the streets of Ashtead today and hearing all the locals supporting us it really gladdened the heart to realise that 99% of the residents of that town are just like us. Decent minded folk. "For it's Tommy this and Tommy that and chuck him out the brute. But it's the saviour of the country when the guns begin to shoot"
Good luck to the rest of the teams going to Ashtead

Before I read Sue Nortons letter I thought 'what is all the fuss about'? Like most people reading this, I assumed facilities like the 'Fisher House' already existed; provided by a caring Armed Services? I was absolutely amazed to find out that they were not.
All the best with the planning application, and to any pathetic excuse for a human being living in Grays Lane and close by who may be reading this (yes you know who you are) - I am proud to be British and to live in this country, you on the other hand, are selfish and narrow minded and don't deserve to live in the same country as I do!

Having been in Headley as a patient it is with great sadness to hear of the narrow mindedness of the local objections. I would guess that many are not local but greedy commuters. Many I offer my support and wish everyone success with this campaign

For Braindead of Essex.
Headly Court accepts private patients. May I suggest that you take advantage of this fact and get booked in ASAP. I'm sure they can do something for you, quite what eludes me at the moment.

I've got my fingers crossed for the SSAFA -- I was alerted to what you guys are up against by a good mate of mine and frankly I'm flabbergasted by the lack of humanity of some people. Needless to say MVDC have recieved my letter and I've signed the petition.
Oh, and to Brian of Essex: the soldiers signed up to protect their country and the citizens of their country. When they're injured in doing that duty, which presumably you wouldn't do yourself, its up to those whom they swore to protect to help and support them.

Go Blue Team! Roll on 1st August planning meeting.
NIMBY Red Team you should be ashamed of yourselves.
We'll see you this Saturday in Ashtead, when we gain the support of the decent, honest folk who value human kindness more than their house prices.

Very best of luck with the application. Shame on those who don't have respect for the sacrifices made.
