The more attention given this situation, the easier it should be resolved favorably. I cannot see how these opponents of this project could possibly stand up in the light of day and object with a straight face.
Bravo and Godspeed!

This is not just wrong. It is decadent. For if we lack the will to defend ourselves, or rather to defend those who are there to defend us and to fight for us, then we are simply rolling over to display the soft underbelly of decadence to the world’s predators and scavengers. Those who think that our armed forces don’t matter will soon discover that other people’s do.

This is something very close to my heart, I have two sons serving with the Army due to be sent away in the autumn (MOD in its wisdom decided not to send them both to the same war zone at the same time - but to separate war zones at the same time!) Well done to you all for a splendid protest, I have tried to do my bit, by sending all info out to everyone I know and asking them to sign the protest and make their views known.

I am proud of everyone who is taking this stand on behalf of those who understand what duty, sacrifice and Britishness actually means, I am humbled by the spirit shown by those who have suffered greatly for this nation.
I am proud, yet also ashamed, this campaign shouldn't be necessary; but it is so we must continue to fight for what is right no matter the opposition.
God bless!

I remain appalled by the ridiculously alarmist, hard-hearted and self-centred objections that have made this campaign necessary. And for what? A dozen or so grieving relatives needing somewhere peaceful to stay while visiting loved ones injured in the service of their country.
I bet some of these spiteful NIMBYs even pay lip-service to the parable of the Good Samaritan when they attend church on Sundays. Thank God they aren't representative of the decent people I know, and thank God for SSAFA.
Mind you, there's still time for them to repent and withdraw their objections. In the meantime, I'll pray for their dark souls, and for the success of the campaign of course.

Good Luck with the campaign. It is time that the true image of our Forces was shown. Rather than the misconceived ideas of a few people whose lives would be an awful lot different if it wasn't for those who give of themselves to protect our freedoms. The residents of Grays Lane have our Forces to thank for their being able to voice their abysmally small minded opinions. It is time to remind them of this!
