It seems that the guestbook software is throwing a few glitches. We've had a few reports of random "permanent bannings" and posts disappearing. Please accept our apologies if either of these happen to you and, if you want to enter a message but it won't allow you, feel free to email your message and the name / location you'd like put to the email on the home-page

We've found that the vast majority of Ashtead residents are overwhelmingly supportive of SSAFA, Headley Court, the Armed Forces and our campaign. The 90 or so objectors, and their attitudes, do not represent most Ashtead residents from everything we've seen. Please, in thanks to all those people, bear that in mind when posting!

Thank you to everyone who's helped achieve this wonderful result. We've known from the outset that the concerns raised were misplaced. SSAFA and the families concerned will now have the chance to prove that. We know they'll be more than equal to the task.

 I am totally disgusted at the behaviour of the residents.
English snobbery at its best. As someone else said, it's a case of NIMBY's gone mad.
The excuses they give are lame and open themselves up to more ridicule.

What possible harm could it do them.
Would they even notice?

E-mail: nospam@nospam.com 		I am a serving member of the Royal Air Force and am completely and utterly disgusted by the views expressed by the small minded, self absorbed people of Ashtead. Outside the goldfish bowl they live in, there are members of the British Armed Forces making the ultimate sacrifice for their country and others returning home with the most horrendous injuries. These people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, not shunned by those who percieve themselves to be better than us.

E-mail: nospam@nospam.com 		I would just like to remind the local residents of Grays Lane that it is the very people supported by Headley Court that defend their rights to freedom and democracy and allows them to enjoy their privileged lifestyle. I'm sure that those same servicemen are heartened to know just how much their sarcrifice is appriciated by you all. Hypocrisy comes to mind.
