During my time in the RAF I spent some weeks at the Services rehab centre and they did a fantastic job. The opponents to this application should book themselves an appointment with their GP for a reality check-up. Admin reply: John G:
The objectors handed us the moral high ground on a plate... It would be a shame to fritter that away with direct action against individuals. For that we should be thanking them not castigating them...

Why not not name and shame the objectors? Forget 'no names, no packdrill', that is just what they need!

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said, but I felt the need to add my protest to swell the numbers. Interestingly the Mole Valley website is not accepting comments on this subject at present, due I suspect to the overwhelming response from ordinary, outraged citizens.

I am an x WREN (Women's Royal Naval Service), 22 years of service, leaving in 1991. I have close contacts with SSAFA.
I have signed the petition and find it so hard to take in that anyone could possibly object to this. I could say more..but wont..we all feel the same.

Keep up the fight. These people deserve better than to be challenged by such narrow minded self serving nimbies as these. I'm incensed that they should be so selfish as to appose this use.

A few years ago I spent some time in the excellent care of Headly Court and I can not thank them enough for the time and effort they put into me, at the time I was there it would have been marvellous to have some of my family visit, the main reason I received no visitors during my stay was that accommodation was a problem my family live in the lake district and would not be able to travel to and from in a day.
I am not going to make reference to the objectors my initial anger and frustration has subsided, now I just feel very sad that people in the country that I love and serve would do such a thing, at least I can wake up and look in the mirror and like what I see…can you?

In 1987 I was involved in a Major RTA, following surgery in Oxford and time at PM RAF Hospital Halton I was admitted to the Head Injury unit at Headley Court. The Care, treatment and support my parents and I received was outstanding, My parents travelled over 160 miles every evening to visit me, Which put a huge strain on them and my brother who was at home. The idea of a Support House for inpatients families is wonderful and should be fully supported. If it had not been for the Care, Support and treatment I receieved, I doubt very much I would still be in the RAF and comming to the end of my 22 Years Service.

As a former resident in Ashtead I am appalled at the response by a few bigoted individuals over the intended use of 36, Grays Lane. Have they no compassion in their hearts for the plight of these unfortunate families whose loved ones have given their all for Queen, Country and ALL it's residents. The Government, who sent them on active service, must act to SQUASH the objections
