It never ceases to amaze me how petty and selfish some people can be,and they do seem to be of a specific type, good luck to SSAFA and all power to their elbow against these mean spirited winkers, apologies for any spelling mistakes i may have made.

Headley Court has been a life-saver to many. The staff are truly decent people. Conrast this characteristic with the locals who care simply for their own selves. What revolting creatures, what monsters. Let us all pray for a calamitous collapse in local house prices and for the occupants a sniff, if only faint, of the pain that the soldiers in Headley Court have suffered.

Null Comment Admin reply: When myself and the other admins here began this campaign we had no idea of the amount of support it would generate. This Guest Book alone demonstrates the strength of feeling for this cause.
Tonight is the final night before this issue comes before the committee and we are less than 2000 signatures from putting the petition into 3rd place on the list of petitions. This is an amazing feat in just 10 days.
I encourage you in the strongest fashion to sign the petition at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Headley/ and pass this address on to all your relatives and friends - everyone you know - heck, send it to your enemies - asking them to sign it too.
To paraphrase what was stated earlier in the guest book, "These families have paid a premium to be there and it's a greater price then the objecting residents hve paid for their properties

I have the utmost admiration for everyone who serves this country and I am absolutely ashamed of those residents who cannot see why a house like this is needed. It is absolutely vital that children, wives, partners etc can visit and spend valuable time with their injured relatives without having to worry about driving miles or booking into and paying for hotels. I have everything crossed for tomorrow, good luck! Jane

To all you low life pond dwellers in Grays Lane I doubt if you have friends, just acquaintances, but be aware these brave people have many friends they haven't even met yet, It's not money that elevates people it's compassion. Wouldn't it be kinder to let these men and women leave the enemy on the battleground and not have to fight you morons on their return to a 'safe haven' and when the thousands, yes thousands of service men and women give blood perhaps it could be labeled not for use in certain parts of Surrey

I have been interested in this campaign since day one, following the publication of the Daily Mail article. On the day that sees the end of Op Banner in Northern Ireland, the name of another fallen comrade (a Royal Marine) in Afghanistan has just been confirmed. RIP. To top it all, I have just spent an hour watching the final episode of Guarding the Queen on ITV. To say I am emotional and proud of those who have served and continue to serve is an understatement. I am also immensely proud of everyone involved in this campaign - including the creator of this fantastic site! I am confident that the right verdict will be reached at the council meeting tomorrow evening. As a previous poster has stated; the really sad part is that a campaign of this type was needed in the first place. To the minority in Ashtead, I hope you will re-consider and withdraw your objections. To the great majority of Ashtead residents, thank you very much for your support.

The residents should be ashamed of themselves. To live in country with such freedom, whilst not realising the sacrifices of others to maintain that freedom is a despicable act of selfishness. If only they embraced this, then they would see the value in it for all. Good luck

Discracefull that our service men are not treated with the respect that they deserve, for commitment to their country that few of the objectors would show, I suspect.
The very best of luck in your efforts in securing this property.
