Good to see common sense prevailed tonight. Well done to all involved.
And don't worry, the small number of small minded residents of Ashtead, I'm sure the visiting families will have more important things to worry about than to hold any kind of grudge.

Many years ago I spent some time at the medical rehab unit at Chessington (a similar facility to Headly Court, now closed) and appreciate the good work done at such places.
It's good to see that the councillors have approved the application. A triumph of decency and consideration for those willing to make sacrifices over the other sort of people.
Very best wishes.

I am very happy for your success.
The letters of objection are sad and disheartening, and it would have been very depressing if the council had not stood up to this organised minority, who epitomise me first culture. it is the hypocrisy of the objections that rankles so much, and the insinuation that the visiting families equate to itinerant guests injected into ( to their mind) a private little world.

My family is so pleased that Mole Valley Council voted, unanimously, in favour of full planning permission for the facility at 36 Grays Lane. If you read this, thank a teacher; if you read this in English, thank our British Forces!

Well done. We should all back HM Forces. I grew up in Ashtead, and am delighted that it will be the site for the new accommodation.
Good luck to you.

Weel done to all for getting a much needed resource agreed, as an ex army person myself I can not understand the small minded minority who opposed this.
I hope the project goes from strength to strength.
Well done.

Well done Blue team. Hopefully SSAFA will be able to get the modifications done soon and the families of injured personnel can begin to use the facilities. Also a big well done to the councillors for using common sense and ignoring the snobs.

Just seen the local news report stating that SSAFA have in fact been successful. Delighted that common sense has defeated snobbery. Per Ardua Ad Astra
